Lauren Estevez



Lauren advises cannabis businesses on licensing applications, conditional use permits, and compliance with the thousands of regulations introduced by state and local governments. She brings experience advising Global 500 clients in technology, life sciences, and banking to Margolin & Lawrence. Lauren combines legal expertise with unparalleled project management skills to provide the highest level of service to our clients. She has a depth of experience managing cross-functional teams toward a common goal, and at M&L this includes consultants, architects, security experts, and environmental advisers who are essential to licensing projects. Lauren has advised on numerous licensing projects throughout California and in other states including Massachusetts.

Prior to Margolin & Lawrence, Lauren managed a multi-million dollar book of business, and over fifty high-profile engagements in areas including global M&A, clinical trials, and commercial contracts. She also worked at Linklaters in London and New York in the Capital Markets and Banking groups. There, Lauren worked on an IPO, conducted due diligence for international transactions, and wrote briefings on the JOBS Act. Prior to law school, Lauren worked at a white-collar criminal defense firm in New York that advises clients subject to Federal investigations and inquiries.
